NEW YORK—ADVO, the nation’s largest targeted in-home print advertising company with $1.1 billion in annual revenues, has appointed Rowland Communications Worldwide as its communications agency.
Reaching 105 million U.S. households, ADVO is a leader in the design, production and distribution of home-delivered consumer print advertising, such as the company’s ShopWise branded advertising program and the “Have You Seen Me?” missing child card program, conducted in partnership with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the U.S. Postal Service.
Rowland will be responsible for all public relations activities, comprising strategy design, positioning and messaging, program execution, select business development activities and corporate social responsibility publicity designed to expand awareness of the success of the America’s Looking for Its Missing Children program and to encourage more Americans to become involved—and act—on these communications.
“Rowland won the hearts and minds of the selection committee at both the strategic and creative levels,” says Mary Lou Dlugolenski, director of corporate communications at ADVO. “It demonstrated an immediate affinity for our business. Its proposal was impressive, its recommendations were on point and its commitment to service was detailed and energizing.”
