NEW YORK — Weber Shandwick has been chosen by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism to  provide communications support in the US and Canada, as well as project work in the UK and Latin America. The agency will work with the Ministry of Tourism team on a comprehensive strategic program to market the islands and the program will center on an integrated approach enabling the designation to reach consumers with greater efficiency and effectiveness. The Bahamas program will be led by Weber Shandwick's travel & lifestyle practice.

TORTONTO — Environics Communications' digital and creative arm Agnostic recently worked with the Canadian Red Cross to launch an online campaign to thank young Canadians for their support in 2016's devastating fires in the regional municipality of Wood Buffalo. The campaign comes one year after the fires forced tens of thousands of families to flee their homes. The campaigns is called We're Still Here and was developed to remind Canadians that on the ground efforts to recover from the fires will continue in the months and years ahead. The campaign resulted in over 3m impressions, reached more than 2m young Canadians, and drove thousands of social interactions and hundreds of newsletter signs up from young Canadians wanting to learn more and help rebuild the community.
