LONDON — Former Saatchi art director Rory Woods has joined Bite to lead its newly formed Content Lab.

The Content Lab combines editorial specialists with creative, design, video and planning experts, and provides a complete brand and content marketing offering. It will be a place to experiment with storytelling to find new and creative ways for brands to reach people.

Woods was hired for his background in multi-channel content creation across technology, financial services and luxury and retail markets. Formerly of M&C Saatchi and Saatchi & Saatchi, he has worked on campaigns for brands such as Adidas, AMEX, Barbour, Diesel, M&S and Samsung. Most recently he has developed enterprise and e-commerce platforms for the luxury market.

Bite works with brands such as Amazon, Flipboard, GoDaddy, Hasbro, Quip, Sage, WeWork and 4Music, and has a team of six former journalists working across the agency’s practices.

“We spent six months hunting for the very best talent to both lead and be part of the Content Lab because it’s a major investment for us,” said Kath Easthope, MD at Bite.

Woods is joined by Nick Taylor, a digital project manager. Nick joins from Blueprint Partners where he managed Volkswagen Group, digital campaigns for the Blackberry UK partner programme and email marketing for Blackberry and Porsche. Caterina Bianchini also joins the team as a designer from Dearman where she worked on the redesign of its website and internal rebrand campaign.
