SAN FRANCISCO — Boosting leadership in two important markets, Brunswick Group has promoted two of its own — Ash Spiegelberg and Rory Macpherson — to lead its San Francisco and Shanghai offices respectively.

Spiegelberg (pictured), who joined Brunswick's London office in 2004, has worked extensively in the US, Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East for clients including Diageo, Google, Time Warner and Saudi Aramco and Southwest Airlines. A Brunswick partner, he has advised on more than 60 high-profile M&A and capital market transactions and projects for governments and private sector companies.

Brunswick director Macpherson has 15 years' experience in China advising Chinese and multinational companies including Ant Financial, Yum China, ZTO and Sogou on corporate communications, including IPOs and other capital markets transactions, cross-border M&A, crisis management, corporate restructuring and litigation.

“These appointments strengthen our leadership and management capabilities in two of our most important markets,” said CEO Neal Wolin. “Ash Spiegelberg’s experience across multiple sectors and geographies, and his natural leadership capabilities, will enhance our ability to service clients and will prove enormously valuable in growing and deepening our business in the Bay Area and the West Coast more generally.

"Rory Macpherson has been essential to the growth of our Shanghai office and his long-term China experience and expertise in investor relations and corporate communications will continue to bolster our presence in this dynamic market. I look forward to working with both in their new roles.”
