NEW YORK —  Anticipating continued expansion, Cohn &Wolfe has tapped 42West’s Tom Reno to be its COO, a newly created position charged with maximizing the agency’s worldwide talent and operations.

Reno, most recently COO/CFO of entertainment industry-focused 42West, will oversee the agency’s IT, HR, legal and real estate operations as well as the operations side of acquisitions. He will be based out the WPP firm's New York office.

“Cohn &Wolfe is significantly larger than we were a few years ago, and the growth shows no signs of slowing,” said CEO Donna Imperato. “We’ve transformed into an integrated offering with new technologies and services, requiring even greater operational excellence and efficiency.”

Imperato said Reno was tapped for his proven ability to manage and expand agency operations, as well as master the client services side of the business.

Reno joined 42West as its COO/CFO eight years ago.  Since that time, he has overseen the agency’s long-term business strategy, increased revenues by 46% and, earlier this year, spearhead the company’s sale to Dolphin Digital Media. Corporate branding, internal communications and investor relations across a breadth of industries are among his expertise.

"I have long admired Cohn & Wolfe for its dynamic talent and creativity," Reno said. "I've witnessed its tremendous growth and transformation, and I am excited to be part of such an innovative industry leader. I look forward to contributing to that momentum. There is no agency better poised to seize what's next in our industry than Cohn & Wolfe."
