CAMBRIDGE, MA — Biotech company Moderna Therapeutics has named Megan Pace chief corporate affairs officer. Pace, who most recently served as an Agios senior VP, will serve on Moderna’s executive committee and report to CEO Stéphane Bancel. She has nearly 20 years of communications, government affairs, patient advocacy, investor relations, program leadership and corporate planning experience in the biotech sector, including prior executive team roles at Agios Pharmaceuticals and Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

WESTLAKE, OHIO — Nordson Corporation has appointed Lara Mahoney its VP of investor relations and corporate communications. Mahoney will oversee the execution of Nordson’s communication strategy to the corporation’s internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, customers, employees and communities. She most recently was VP of investor relations and marketing communications for Invacare Corporation.

ATLANTA — Cox Enterprises has named Maury Wolfe senior director, corporate social responsibility and public affairs. Wolfe will be responsible for leading sustainability-focused, community and employee-action programs that support Cox Conserves, the company's signature sustainability program.  She also will be responsible for corporate giving, local public affairs and community relations, including nonprofit board placements for Cox executives. Previously, Wolfe worked for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) where she served as director, global corporate responsibility.

PORTLAND, OR — Columbia Sportswear has appointed Mary Ellen Glynn as director of corporate communications and Sara Bradshaw as corporate communications manager. Glynn’s experience includes working as a deputy press secretary and special assistant to President Bill Clinton and communications director for Ambassador Richard Holbrooke, and more recently serving as communications director for Oregon Gov. Ted Kulongoski.  Bradshaw has spent 10 years in the communications industry working for apparel companies including J. Crew, Saks Fifth Avenue and Chanel.
