LEXINGTON, MA—Keds has appointed Emily Culp as chief marketing officer, responsible for global marketing initiatives including retail development, omni-channel marketing, digital, PR and content. Prior to joining Keds, Emily led the e-commerce and omni-channel marketing teams at Rebecca Minkoff, with a focus on consumer marketing. She has worked at agencies including Ogilvy, Digitas and Arnold and in marketing roles with the Estee Lauder Co. and Unilever.
WASHINGTON, DC—The Distilled Spirits Council of the United States, representing more than 135 distillers of all sizes, has appointed Kelley McDonough as its new director of public relations, based in New York. McDonough will be responsible for media relations, special events and media tours, as well as digital and social media activities. McDonough most recently served as a senior account executive at Access Communications in New York.
HONOLULU—Matson, a leading US carrier in the Pacific, has hired Keoni Wagner as director, corporate communications. He succeeds Jeff Hull, who is retiring from Matson after a 33-year career with the company. Wagner reports to Matt Cox, president and chief executive officer, and is based at Matson's corporate office in Oakland, California. He most recently served as public information officer and spokesman for Oakland International Airport, and earlier was vice president of public affairs at Hawaiian Airlines, based in Honolulu.
RONKONKOMA, NY—NBTY, a global manufacturer, marketer, distributor and retailer of vitamins and nutritional supplements, has appointed Sonya Soutus to the newly-created position of senior vice president, public affairs & communications. Soutus previously held roles of increasing responsibility in Coca-Cola's international business and was most recently senior vice president of public affairs and communications for Coca-Cola in North America. She also worked at Burson Marsteller in the Ukraine.
