BETHESDA, MARYLAND — Lockheed Martin has made two appointments to its communications team — Bill Phelps, who is VP of external communications, and Adam Sohn, VP of Lockheed Martin Space Communications. Phelps, the company’s director of worldwide media relations since 2016, succeeds Nettie Johnson who is retiring. Sohn, most recently director of strategic communications at Amazon's devices and services business, succeeds Andrea Greenan, who was recently named VP of internal communications.

SCHAUMBURG, ILLINOIS — Sasser Family Holdings, a family-held transportation asset services and management company, has promoted Kelly Pronek to VP of corporate communications and marketing. Pronek, formerly senior director, will have expanded leadership responsibility for the company's corporate communications and marketing practice, and SFH's brand strategy development for the company's subsidiary businesses. She will also continue to play a critical role in the implementations of Sasser's organizational narrative, helping to lead the building, enhancement, and measurement of
the company’s brands and culture.

WASHINGTON, DC — The Beer Institute, a trade association representing America's brewers, beer importers and industry suppliers, has promoted communications director Dan Roth has been promoted to senior director of public affairs. Roth joined the Beer Institute in May 2016 as its communications director, as which he worked on getting federal excise tax relief to brewers and beer importers. Before that, he worked for US Rep. Karen Bass (D-CA) as her communications director.
