NEW YORK — The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has appointed Abbey Collins as the chief communications officer, as which she will oversee all aspects of strategic communications for the Authority. She joins the MTA as it is implementing a transformation to improve service for the more than six million daily riders. Collins most recently served as a director at Kivvit in New York where she advised Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, not-for-profits and governments.

MEMPHIS, TN — Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare has named Tabrina Davis VP of marketing and communications. She is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies for the health system, including leading media relations, internal communications, executive communications and web/digital strategy. Previously, she was a senior consultant and VP of strategic communications with Wyn-Win Communications in Chicago. Prior to that, Davis served as vice president of communications for Northrop Grumman, a global technology company where she led employee communications, media, advertising, marketing and creative services.

SPOKANE, WA — Kelly Fukai has joined Spokane International Airport as the manager of public and external affairs. In this position, Fukai will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local, state and federal government officials, agencies, staff and relevant industry and community groups. She has previously worked at Avista, the Pinnacle Marketing Group and most recently, Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories.

MCLEAN, VA — FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) has appointed Steve Danon as its new senior VP of external affairs. Danon will lead the organization's efforts to engage with opinion leaders, media, decision makers and strategic stakeholders on the food allergy epidemic, which currently affects more than 32 million Americans. He joins FARE following his tenure at the National Restaurant Association, where he served as senior VP of public affairs and communications.
