HAMBURG — Creative agency Philipp und Keuntje (PUK) has been acquired by independent agency group FischerAppelt for an undisclosed sum.
FischerAppelt said PUK’s focus on brand and content strategies would “strengthen the group’s advertising and brand management offering with the aim of covering the entire customer experience.”
Founders Dominik Philipp (pictured, left) and Hartwig Keuntje (pictured, right) remain on board, along with the rest of the management team: Diether Kerner, who leads the creative offer, consulting head Oliver Kielinski, Wolfgang Block, who is responsible for publishing and content, and strategy lead Torben Bo Hansen.
Philipp will join the group’s supervisory board, while Keuntje will take on the role of creative director with the aim of further developing the group's creative offering.
PUK – whose clients include Audi, Astra, Deutsche Bank, DAK, Kühne, and NEFF – will continue to operate under its own name.
Andreas Fischer-Appelt, co-founder and CEO of FischerAppelt (pictured, centre) said: “We strive to offer the most deeply integrated communication and marketing product. Together with Philipp und Keuntje we are taking a big step in this direction, expanding our portfolio of brand services and creating an agency profile that is unparalleled in terms of effectiveness and creativity. Even more important is that we share the same values with over 200 great new colleagues.”
Philipp added: “We are all convinced of the superiority of an entrepreneurial agency model, both in terms of its appeal to talent and the growing marketing challenges of our clients. For years we have been following FischerAppelt’s development of a consistently client-oriented offering with great respect—an offering which easily stands up to that of all networks and consulting groups.”
The move is the second significant addition to Fischer-Appelt’s offer within a year: last May it signed an agreement with global crisis advisor Hilburg Associates.
