HOUSTON—UK-based crisis and issues management specialist Regester Larkin has opened an office in Houston, Tex., as it continues to expand its US presence.

The office, which will be run on a day-to-day basis by managing consultant, Kate Brader, will offer the company’s full range of government relations, strategy, policy, strategic communications and crisis management consulting services.

Brader joined Regester Larkin in 2008, having previously worked with UK consultancies Fishburn Hedges and Trimedia.

Brader will report to Kirk Sherr, the president and managing director of Regester Larkin Americas, who says the decision to locate its second US office in Houston—building on an existing presence in Washington, DC—reflects “particularly strong demand from our international energy client base.” He added that the office will also serve clients across the healthcare, defence, travel and tourism sectors.

Pat Philbin, who joined in March as head of Regester Larkin Americas’ rapidly growing crisis management practice, will divide his time between the company’s established Washington area offices and the newly formed Houston presence.
