NEW YORK—Three of the world’s largest public relations agencies—Weber Shandwick, Ketchum, and Edelman—dominate the shortlist for this year’s North American SABRE Awards. But a host of midsize and specialist firms also feature on the list of nominees for the industry’s most prestigious awards competition.

Perennial award-winner Weber Shandwick led the way, credited with a role in 23 of the shortlisted campaigns. Close behind is Ketchum, with 19 nominations, followed by Edelman (12).

But after that come several midsize or specialist firms: Allison + Partners and M Booth have nine nominations each. Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch Relate, Coyne PR of New Jersey, and LDWW of Dallas have seven nominations apiece.

Other firms with multiple campaign credits include FleishmanHillard (seven); Cohn & Wolfe, Golin, Olson Engage (six); MullenLowe (five); and C+C, Exponent, GCI Health, Huge and Zeno Group (four).

Winners will be announced at the SABRE Awards dinner, which will take place at New York’s Cipriani 42nd Street on May 1. Tickets and tables for the event are available here.
