LONDON—Kevin Bell is departing Maitland to become global chair of Burson-Marsteller's public affairs practice.

Bell joins Burson after spending less than two years as executive chairman of Maitland's political division. Previously, he was president of FleishmanHillard UK, Africa and the Middle East.

Bell will be based in London, reporting to Burson-Marsteller worldwide chair and CEO Don Baer. He takes on a role that was previously held by Jeremy Galbraith, who continues as CEO of Burson-Marsteller in EMEA and worldwide chief strategy officer.

“Kevin will bring his seasoned judgment, relationships and ideas to continue growing our public affairs activities globally,” said Baer.
