FRANKLIN, TN--Nissan North America has announced the appointment of Fleishman-Hillard firm Stratacomm as its PR agency of record. 

The news comes as Nissan Europe conducts a search for its first retained corporate agency across that region.

Stratacomm secures the North American account following a competitive review. Key areas of focus include media relations, thought leadership and event and program management to help advance consumer awareness and preference for the Nissan brand across the United States.

In 2011, Nissan became the second-ranked Asian brand in the Americas while reporting record sales and market share across the region encompassing North, Central and South America. Most recently, Nissan's exposure in the region has been heightened through increased emphasis on public-relations and social-media activation, particularly in the United States.
