NEW DELHI--Fleishman-Hillard will not repitch its role on Nokia’s Indian PR account, which is currently under review.

The agency was one of two hired by the handset giant two years ago. Fleishman-Hillard oversees Nokia’s devices and mobile solutions units, while Six Degrees is charged with the corporate PR brief.

A handful of firms are understood to be pitching for Fleishman’s remit, including Genesis Burson-Marsteller and Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick. Fellow incumbent Six Degrees, however, is not participating in the review, and will continue to oversee the corporate PR mandate.

Fleishman-Hillard will end its work on the account at the end of June.

Nokia remains the mobile handset leader in India, with a 31 percent market share, although this has dropped considerably from the proportion that it previously commanded. The company also tops the smaller feature and smartphone segments.

Overall Indian revenue for the company - including its Nokia Siemens and Navteq businesses - dipped marginally in 2011.
