HONG KONG — Allison+Partners has hired Asia-Pacific PR veteran Paul Mottram to oversee the launch of its All Told content division, as the US firm continues to expand its presence in the region.

Mottram joins Allison+Partners from Text100, where he worked most recently as MD of integrated strategy for Asia-Pacific. Mottram initially joined independent agency Upstream Asia in 2001 as COO, serving as founder David Ketchum's business partner, and playing a critical role in the firm's growth and eventual sale to Next15 firm Bite in 2009.

After the acquisition, Mottram was named EVP of Bite in Asia-Pacific, overseeing a string of digital acquisitions before the firm merged with Next15 sibling Text100 in 2014. By then, Ketchum had already departed, and Mottram's exit leaves Anne Costello solely in charge of Text100's Asia-Pacific operation.

At Allison+Partners, Mottram will report to global COO Andy Hardie-Brown, who is currently based in Singapore, and All Told partner and president Cathy Planchard. The division, which combines the agency’s research, content, creative, digital and measurement expertise, launched in the US last year.

Allison+Partners' Asian operation now accounts for 10% of its global revenue after significant expansion. The firm has added offices in China, Singapore and Thailand to serve regional clients such as Textron Aviation, iRobot, BSH Home Appliances and Harley-Davidson.

"Paul is a rare communications professional, equal parts strategist and entrepreneur, that can both service clients and build our presence in the region," said Planchard.  "As the communications landscape continues to evolve, his leadership is a critical component of our vision to bring award-winning integrated campaigns to bear in all markets served by Allison+Partners."

Prior to joining Upstream, Mottram was VP of corporate marketing at publisher and trade show organiser Global Sources."Allison's reputation is amazing," said Mottram. "All Told is exactly what the market needs."
