STOCKHOLM—Swedish agency group Hallvarsson & Halvarsson (H&H) Group  has acquired local player Jung Relations, one of the Europe's top consumer PR firms.

Founded in 2003 by CEO/chief strategist Claes Bodén, creative director Jonas Sevenius, and senior advisor Martin Abrahamsson, Jung has grown to 35 people and was named EMEA Consumer Agency of the Year by the Holmes Report in 2014. In addition, the firm is a perennial fixture at the top of the Global Creative Index, thanks to work for such clients as Volvo Cars, Svenska Spel, Absolut Vodka, P&G, Adidas and Sony Mobile.

Jung's three co-founders become partners of H&H Group, whose agency lineup also includes Hallvarsson & Halvarsson, Comprend, Springtime and Involve, comprising operations in 10 countries from offices in Stockholm, London and Lisbon.

"Jung has distinguished itself through their insight into culture, society and trends, and their ability to connect brands to audiences through emotional attributes and in meaningful ways," said H&H Group CEO Martin Petersson. "Our joint vision is a group that leads the rapid transformation within the industry and takes our customers’ communication to new levels."

Bodén noted that Jung had been approached by "several big network agencies," but ultimately found a better fit with H&H Group.

"We specialize in different areas but share the same curiosity, entrepreneurship, and the conviction that trust is something earned," he added. "Jung will strengthen its position as a creative hybrid agency; at the same time we’ll be an important piece in the puzzle in an independent PR group."
