ATLANTA—Sharecare, an interactive social Q&A platform, and healthcare public relations firm WCG have partnered to create SharecareNow, powered by WCG. The new service offers real-time analytics on patient healthcare trends, conversations and key online influencers designed to enable consumers, physicians, health and wellness brands and healthcare organizations to hold more meaningful online conversations.

The service offers clients access to a suite of tools, research and social media analytics to identify the channels, conversations, authors, article sources, themes and terms most relevant to healthcare brands and organizations online and in real-time.

According to Jeff Arnold, chairman and chief architect of Sharecare: “We realized it wasn’t enough to simply create a social service for health and wellness brands. We had to add the critical analytics component to identify who is participating in and driving the conversations relevant to these brands, and how to talk with these authors or organizations.”

Through a dashboard interface, healthcare organizations will be able to monitor online and social media activity, create relevant content and educate consumers through a targeted engagement strategy. The platform also ensures that engagement between patients, caregivers and health and wellness brands complies with FDA- regulated communication requirements.

“In today’s online environment, patients and caregivers are inundated by misinformation, much of which is spam content found on unreliable blogs,” said Bob Pearson (pictured), chief technology and media officer of WCG. “SharecareNow will help top healthcare organizations navigate this noise and confusion.”

Sharecare and WCG will also publish the “SharecareNow 10” – individually ranked lists of the top 10 online influencers within various health and wellness topics.
