K.C. Kavanagh first appeared on this list in 2018, shortly after she was appointed chief communications officer for Bacardi. She now returns in another new role, this time as senior VP and chief communications officer at Visa, which she joined in September of last year to replace longtime Influence 100 fixture Paul Cohen.
As CCO at the credit card giant, Kavanagh is responsible for all aspects of corporate and brand communications, as well as reputation management, employee and executive communications.
She joined Visa from AT&T, where she most recently served as chief communications officer, leading executive and employee communications, media relations, financial communications, crisis management and social media. Before joining AT&T, she led communications for Bacardi and for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide for 18 years.
